I’m Megan Learn, a designer on and off screen.

With 12+ years across brand and product, I think about the whole experience, not just the screen in front of me.

I build brands and products as connected experiences, where every decision is an intentional building block. My titles and industries have changed, from creative agencies to startups to a long stint in EdTech, but that way of thinking hasn’t. With AI in play, it matters more than ever.

Off screen, I’m still a designer. I just look for inspiration in different places.

If you can’t find me, I’m probably exploring new places, trying a new coffee shop, or browsing a museum. Otherwise, you can find me at home trying to entertain my furry companions, keep my veggie garden alive, or tackle a home project. I like making things, figuring out how they work, and finding inspiration in places that have nothing to do with a screen.

Approach to Work

  1. Build something tangible, early.

Get the reaction before it gets expensive.

  2. Systems > Screens

Solve for the next use case, not just this one.

  3. 90% communication, 10% caffeination.

Share early, ask questions, skip the big reveal.

  4. Function > Fancy

If it doesn’t work, the rest doesn’t matter.

  5. Trust your intuition, then test it.

Experience is a starting point, not proof.

  6. Outcomes > Output

Solve the right problem, not the most problems.

Approach to Life

  1. Building something by hand.

Home renos, custom invites, paintings, oh my!

  2. Coffee > No Coffee

I brew a lot of good coffee. And some experiments.

  3. Two furry coworkers, zero boundaries.

They push buttons, both mine and the keyboard’s.

  4. Art > Souvenirs

Supporting local art, even if my walls can’t.

  5. Trust your gut, then taste it.

Allergic to everything doesn’t mean it can’t taste good.

  6. Walk > Car

The best way to find interesting things in every city.

Ready for the next big problem.

Ready for the next big project.
